A person named Haroon Garsi had installed the first electric generator, which was a 25KW generator from a kind of direct current in Chahar Bag (in north of Kermanshah Cathedral Mosque) and it was operated by him.
After a while deceased Abbas Haj Daie installed a generator in power 40 W from kind of alternating current in square Ojag of Kermanshah. This generator provided needed electricity of small parts of kermanshah for a long time. Until Haroon Gasri power plant was closed and Haj Daie established the luminosity company.
Two generators (M.n. 375) were established in a new place located in south of the city and in Rafatie Fork (present place of the south of Kermansha’s subcriber’s services). One 260 H.P. Eshcooda generator was bought in 1327 & tow 45 Horse Power.

Eshcooda generator was bought in 1331. In Kermanshah was acted to make 6.3 KW high voltage lines since 1338 & charge peak came to 3.5 megawatt in 1343. The Ministry of electricity was responsible for the luminosity (company known as Haj Daei). At this time and in neighborhood of Chale Chale village in the place of the west regional electric company office the ministry acted to establish a new power plant which three 2000 KW generator was erected (the place of this power plant has been changed to the electric company auditorium).

Kermanshah has connected to tarns network since 1348. One (gas turbine) was installed for compensation of (voltage charge limitations in Kermanshsh in 1356).
After this the necessity of making Bisotoun power plant was emphasized to provide need of the electric Trans network in the western country (The provinces of Kermanshsh, Ilam, Kordestan). Following the technical studies & justification investigations, in the field of geological specifications nearness and remoteness connectional ways availability of needed water taking this power plant was conveyed and exceptional actions were started since. This 640 megawatt power plant was built in a 130 hectare ground which its 45 hectare is the main area of power plant and it has capability of extending up to four units.

The place of power plant is locating in 20 km of Kermanshah (8 Km west of Bisotoun) and it has been selected from among several alternatives in the region.Main fuel of power plant which has been consisted of the two product unit 320 megawatt is gas and the second fuel of Mast or a mixture of both. Also required water of the plant is pumping by three set of Fehlman wells with capacity of giving water 2000 cubic meter per hour and its transferring is providing by pipes.
In performing this project with the purpose of accessing to technical self adequacy and promotion of technical knowledge in the Iranian specialists forces and also use of internal manufacturers capabilities & possibilities, Italian contractor based on the content of contract was charged of delivering some parts of exceptional and building jobs to the Iranian contractors and manufacturers such as steel structure manufacturing, erection of electrical building, control room turbine hall, thermal cycles, boiler of the second unit fuel oil & water storage tank, fire fighting system of main transformer, the roof crane, air/gas ducts and also Iranian contractors were charged of erecting main parts of the operations, and the whole plant building activities.
